A Younger-Looking Smile with Professional Teeth-Whitening

Certain drinks and foods, like coffee, tea, and red wine, tomato sauce, blueberries, and balsamic vinegar, leave stains on your tooth enamel when consumed regularly. Over the years, these stains accumulate and leave your teeth looking dull, yellowish, and older than you may feel. In addition to consistent brushing, flossing, and regular dental cleanings, Dr. Steven Huffstutler recommends professional teeth-whitening to help remove years of built up stains, and to transform your smile from dull to dazzling.

At the office of Steven M. Huffstutler, DDS, we offer two types of proven teeth-whitening systems to fit your busy schedule.

Take-Home Teeth-Whitening Trays

People with mild to moderate extrinsically stained teeth often choose take-home whitening trays. This affordable cosmetic solution consists of whitening trays (which resemble a lightweight retainer or mouth guard) and specially formulated bleaching gel. Dr. Huffstutler takes impressions of your teeth to create the custom-fitted trays. Then, once you bring your kit home, you simply fill the trays with the gel and place them onto your teeth. Dr. Huffstutler will give you detailed instructions regarding how long to wear your trays every day and, in about two weeks, your stain-free teeth will be significantly brighter.

KöR Deep Bleaching System

KöR Deep Bleaching treatment varies from patient to patient depending on your unique needs. The first phase of this two-phase whitening system involves an in-office power whitening treatment. This phase generally takes a little over an hour and is followed by phase two, during which you will wear your whitening trays at home. In cases of extreme stains, such as those caused by tetracycline, a patient may need to repeat the phases again before optimal whitening is achieved. The results are dramatic, and once completed, KöR patients generally only require occasional touchups using their take-home whitening trays.
