About
The Cowtown Coliseum located in the heart of the Fort Worth Stockyards will feel like you stepped back into the historic wild, wild, west, yet it features modern amenities including heating, air conditioning, and production sound and lighting. Built in 1908, the 3,418-seat multi-purpose arena was refurbished in 1986. It hosts local sporting events, concerts, the National Indoor Football League the Fort Worth Sixers, and Elvis Presley even performed there once.
Catch the live rodeo every Friday and Saturday night at 8PM, and a couple of really cool features of the Coliseum are 1) as of July 2010, the Texas Rodeo Cowboy Hall of Fame has all of its memorabilia featured throughout the corridors of Cowtown Coliseum, and 2) the Coliseum is available for events of all kinds.
The Rodeo Shop
The Coliseum also features the Rodeo Shop where you can find everything from belts and belt buckles, to glassware, home goods; jewelry; men’s, women’s, and kid’s clothing; hats; and music. You can outfit your family in authentic cowboy gear from top to bottom (and don’t forget the bandana!)
