The Forth Worth Museum of Science and History is 166,000 square feet of education and entertainment which includes the DinoLabs, DinoDig, Innovation Studios, the Children’s Museum, the CattleRaiser’s Museum, and Energy Blast.

Collections

Featuring a collection of over 150,000 scientific and historical treasures with a focus on Texas and the Southwest area, the science collection consists of thousands of catalogued specimens representing the following disciplines:

  • Entomology
  • Mammalogy
  • Mineralogy

The history collection ranges from prehistoric artifacts to the present from all around the world. There are also 22,400 specimens in the teaching collection for educational programming, and hands-on activities.

Exhibits include five permanent exhibits, special exhibits, the National Cowgirl Museum, 150 Years of Fort Worth, Lone Star Dinosaurs Online, and exhibits to rent.
