Planning and Placing Porcelain Veneers

smileperfectHave you been looking for a way to achieve the brilliant, sparkling smile you seem to see on celebrities quite often? You may have even noticed you see this type of extraordinary appearance on friends and family members. That’s because porcelain veneers can transform the beauty of your smile – and the smile of most patients – with incredible results. If you have been doing your research, you are probably already aware that this cosmetic treatment can improve the whiteness, shape, size, and length of your teeth, as well as the uniformity of your smile. However, are you sure what to expect from the actual planning and placement process? If not, give the following information a glance, so you can feel good about your decision to improve your grin:

Your Consultation

About those improved teeth shapes and sizes and the whiteness of your smile: We don’t make those decisions for you. We will consult with you first to decide with you about how you would like your improved smile to look. Our team will, of course, contribute our opinions regarding the best shape, size, and color, so your veneers complement your facial features.

Prep and Planning

During this planning time, we will not only agree on design preferences. We will also prepare your teeth by removing an extremely small portion of your enamel, or your teeth’s outermost layer. This ensures an excellent fit and appearance. To complete planning, we will take impressions of your teeth. This will be useful for the master ceramicist who will craft your veneers at a trusted dental lab.

About Placement

You will return to our office once we receive your porcelain veneers. We will make sure they fit beautifully and make final adjustments, so you feel overjoyed with the outcome of the treatment. We will then permanently bond the veneers over the visible portion of your teeth for a gorgeous finish.
